Olesia Kryvolapova
Biography

Olesia Kryvolapova is an illustrator and printmaking artist from Ukraine, currently based in London, who has recently completed an MA in Fine Art Printmaking at Camberwell College of Arts, University of the Arts London. Her artistic journey has been strongly influenced by her Ukrainian heritage and her personal experience of displacement as a refugee. These experiences have deepened her exploration of themes such as identity, belonging, and resilience, which remain central to her creative practice.
In addition to printmaking, Olesia also works in wood sculpture, expanding her engagement with materiality and form into three dimensions. Her passion for travel and her encounters with diverse cultures play a significant role in shaping her visual language, adding new perspectives and stories to her work.
Known for her curiosity and openness to experimentation, she often blends traditional and digital techniques to explore layered textures and innovative surfaces. Beyond her own practice, Olesia is motivated by collaboration and dialogue, believing strongly in art’s ability to connect people across personal, cultural, and emotional boundaries. Her work is both a reflection of her own journey and an invitation for others to engage with universal human themes, making her practice relevant to a wide and varied audience.
